Lower build costs. Homes that sell themselves.

Geo Flow, the funded heat network from Rendesco. The most cost-effective route to the Future Homes Standard.

How Geo Flow works Illustration of a development with an apartment block and houses: angled boreholes are drilled from a single point and connect through an underground chamber to a buried pair of pipes serving every home; a heat pump in each home provides heating, hot water and cooling; a smart controller and the Flow app let residents manage it; in summer the same system cools the homes. 1 2 3 4 5 Outside 32°C Inside 21°C Scroll to see how it works...
1
Radial incline boreholes drilled from one small surface location.
Our advanced drilling equipment drills a fan of angled boreholes from a single small surface location.

A few metres down the ground stays at around 10°C all year, whatever the weather. This steady temperature ensures the heat pumps on our network run at high efficiency regardless of the outside air temperature.

2
One pair of pipes to every home, in the trench you’re digging anyway.
The pipes carrying the ground's energy go in the utility trench with water, power and data. No separate dig, no separate programme. For apartments it's even simpler, as they run through the building.

Nothing sits above ground: the chamber where the boreholes meet the network is below the surface, like a drainage inspection chamber.
3
Our highly efficient, quiet, and compact heat pump in the airing cupboard.
The heat pump is a little smaller than a fridge freezer, and one of the quietest on the market. No outdoor unit, so nothing on the elevation and nothing for neighbours to hear.

Heating, hot water and cooling from one unit, as standard.

Simple for the homeowner. Supported around the clock.
Residents see what their system is doing and manage it from the wall controller or the Flow app. Rendesco monitors the network and supports residents 24/7.

The same platform gives you visibility through commissioning and handover.

On the hottest day, the same system keeps every home cool.
Cooling comes as standard: the same pipes, the same unit, the same ground. New homes are built to hold heat, so summer overheating is a real problem for buyers, and this deals with it.

Cooling puts warmth back into the ground, ready for winter.
Outsell your competitors with Geo Flow. Efficient heating, hot water and cooling in every home.

Add solar and a battery, and the home runs on its own power

Using a heat pump means your rooftop solar panels and a home battery can feed it directly.

Our smart controller lets you get the most from time-of-use tariffs, heat pump operation and solar export.

Specified per site: we can advise on panel and battery sizing alongside the network design.

Answers to the questions housebuilders ask us most about Geo Flow.
What is Geo Flow?

Will Geo Flow help us meet the Future Homes Standard?

Yes, Geo Flow is the most cost-effective way to achieve the Future Homes Standard, compared to an air source heat pump on every plot.
