Churchill Living, retirement lodges

Churchill Estates Management looks after Churchill Retirement Living's purpose-built retirement apartments: more than 220 buildings across the UK. Many residents are older and some are vulnerable, so heating and hot water have to keep working, and any problem has to be handled with care, often when the Lodge Manager is off site.

We started by surveying the sites and tagging every heat pump, then put the commercial ground and air source heat pumps on our remote monitoring. Watching performance in real time, including the life of key components, lets us spot faults early and replace parts before they fail. On the ground source lodges, the same monitoring runs the daily high-temperature cycle that protects the hot water against legionella.

We are often on site fixing an issue before Churchill knows about it. That track record led to 52 more sites being added to our contract, including Churchill's air source heat pump sites.
