Rendesco designs, funds, drills, installs, owns and operates ground source heat networks, and has since 2012.
Rendesco started in 2012 with a simple idea: homes shouldn’t have to rely on fossil fuels for heating.
So we built the capability to deliver low-carbon heat ourselves: from drilling and engineering to installation, operation and maintenance.
That decision still defines us today: own what you build, and run it properly.
Fourteen years of doing it all ourselves is why we can price keenly, move quickly and stand behind the results for decades. It’s also why there are 12,000+ homes on our networks.
From the ground beneath the development to the heating in each home, we are dedicated to clean heating and cooling for the long term.

We started with a simple ambition: affordable, scalable clean heat for every home.
We demonstrated a different way to finance and deliver clean heating.
We showed the scale and reliability of our approach to low-carbon heating.
We raised funds to accelerate the transition to clean heating with our own network financing.

Most heat networks are delivered by several businesses, creating gaps between design, construction and long-term operation. At Rendesco, every stage sits within one accountable company. Because we operate what we build, every decision is made with long-term performance in mind.

Rendesco operates heat networks within Ofgem’s regulatory framework, with clear responsibilities for consumer protection, service standards and transparent communication.
