What we deliver
Feasibility & design
System selection, borefield and network design, plant selection, CP1 alignment, coordination with your M&E designer.
Drilling & groundworks
Our own rigs and crews: boreholes, headers and manifolds, with attendances itemised and reinstatement included.
Mechanical installation
Heat pumps, plant, distribution and in-dwelling kit, installed by our teams to our design.

Commissioning & proving
Balanced, commissioned, performance-proven and documented: MCS per dwelling where applicable.
Handover & aftercare
O&M manuals, training, seasonal support, and the option of a long-term operation contract.

400+ completed projects

Most installers never meet their systems again. We’ve run the heat pumps and heat networks we build for more than a decade, so operational experience feeds every design decision: right-sized plant, serviceable layouts, monitoring built in from day one.

One team from design to commissioning: no interface risk between driller, installer and designer
Design liability held by the company that also drills and installs
Programme reliability: our rigs, our crews, our technology with ongoing long-term support.

FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most about our Design and Build services.
Who carries the ground risk?

Geological and heat-yield risk sits with Rendesco. We assess the ground through desk studies and thermal response testing, design with appropriate margin to CP1, and drill using our own rigs. We apply the same approach across bespoke and funded networks, with the agreed risk position clearly set out in the contract.

What attendances do you need from the main contractor?

Typically access, compound space, spoil arrangement and trench windows shared with your groundworks. This is itemised per project in the drilling attendances schedule.

Can you work to our M&E consultant’s design?

Yes: we provide full D&B services to a performance spec, or build to a developed design with our drilling and installation scope defined around it. We confirm with clients where designs should be adjusted to ensure successful commissioning before contracting.

Can you deliver central plantrooms or distributed (decentralised) systems?

Yes, we deliver scalable heat networks and bespoke heating systems to meet the needs of our clients. We’ll recommend the best option for your site, budget and long-term needs.

What services does Rendesco provide for bespoke heat pump projects?

We support projects from feasibility and detailed design through to installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. This includes borefields, drilling, plant design and remote monitoring. We work to the relevant CIBSE, BSRIA, HSE and BS EN standards.
