A prestigious development of 461 new apartments with heating and hot water from our heat network.
Alperton is a major regeneration project in Wembley, West London, transforming a former bus depot into 461 new homes across three buildings, alongside retail, community spaces and 2,550 sqm of industrial space.
Instead of installing gas boilers, we worked with Telford Homes to design and build a centralised Geo Hub around the site’s ground conditions, space constraints and mixed-use requirements. The result is a low-carbon heating system that works for the development and the environment.
Geo Hub uses 60 vertical boreholes, drilled to more than 240m beneath the buildings, to provide ground source energy to a central plantroom. The system supplies 100% of heating and hot water across the development.
From boreholes to plantroom and heat network installation, our Design & Build team delivered the complete system, creating one coordinated network for the development’s build-to-rent, affordable and mixed-use spaces.
