A high-end development by Cala of 576 new homes with all heating and hot water from our heat network.

Gilston Park is a major new development by Cala Homes and Taylor Wimpey in Polmont, Falkirk, bringing more than 600 new homes, including 25% affordable housing.

We designed a ground-source heat network as development-wide infrastructure. The system uses 329 vertical boreholes, each 167 metres deep, coordinated around roads, utilities, drainage and a phased housebuilding programme.

The network is designed to provide 100% of space heating and hot water through heat pumps, giving private and affordable homes one consistent low-carbon heating system. It shows how we turn compliance into a deliverable site-wide strategy, with one team coordinating the design, drilling, network and commissioning as the development grows.
