A new town of 6,000 new homes with heating, hot water and cooling from our Geo Flow network.
Welborne is a landmark new community near Fareham, comprising 6,000 new homes together with schools, shops, green spaces and local amenities. Rendesco is delivering the heating, hot water and cooling across the development for housebuilders CG Fry, Thakeham and Pye Homes.
With Geo Flow, every home has a small and quiet ground source heat pump inside, instead of an air source heat pump outside every home. Each heat pump is connected to a network which circulates ambient energy from a local water reservoir to provide super efficient heating, hot water and cooling all year round.
With 100% of heating, cooling and hot water provided by heat pumps, it is projected to deliver 50% lower emissions than air source alternatives and to save more than 272,000 tonnes of CO2 over its first 25 years. And because we deliver everything, from design and build through to operation, maintenance, metering and billing, one accountable partner stands behind the whole community for the long term, with a network built to grow as the village does.
